Why choose a spinel? Spinels are less commonly known compare to the big 3 (emerald, sapphire and ruby), but nonetheless, they make great choices for rings and other pieces of jewellery. In fact, they are just under the sapphires and rubies on the mohs scale, at an 8, which means they are hard enough to endure daily wear.
